Stamping systems maker Fagor Arrasate presented its latest intelligent stamping with presses at the recent MetalForm China trade fair in Shanghai.
Fagor Arrasate showcased its 4.0 FA Link MAP, Smart Connect and Digital Twin solutions to optimise processes, increase productivity, supervise installations and improve the final quality of the final products. The 24/7 connectivity offered by these systems allows precise traceability of the pieces and enables manufacturers to know at all times all the parameters regarding the operation of the equipment. This facilitates predictive maintenance that avoids unexpected downtime and adjusts operation for maximum performance and quality.
The growing demand for both conventional and electric vehicles which weigh less and less is driving the use of aluminium in the automotive industry. For this, Fagor Arrasate presented its specific solutions for working with this metal, including its cutting lines with presses, the so-called blanking lines, which reach productivity levels of up to eight million pieces per year, both in aluminium and steel.
Another system displayed was the new Servo Hybrid WaveLine for stamping large body pieces. Its speed of up to 15 strokes per minute in aluminium and up to 18 in steel, synchronisation for working in continuous mode, hybrid configuration and digital simulator, make it one of the most advanced lines in the world in its category.
Fagor Arrasate also exhibited its hot stamping systems, as well as its latest developments in composite systems, including the ultra-fast consolidating machine (up to 500 kg/hour in the case of the prototype) for the production in series of customised individual preforms.
