California, US: Machine tool builder Haas Automation Incorporated’s annual sales in 2017 increased nearly 30 percent and its sales exceeded 13, 500 machine tools.
For 2018, the company has plans for its 5-axis universal machining centre to be equipped with larger travels, major updates to their turning centre line including a renewed horizontal machining centre with pallet system, a new 5-axis gantry mill for large parts, amongst others.
“We performed strongly on all continents, with substantial growth in all markets—especially international markets, which accounted for 55 percent of our sales,” said Scott Gasich, vice president of sales and marketing at Haas Automation.
“Most notably, we enjoyed 41 percent sales increase in mainland Europe, with more than 3,500 new CNC machine tools sold last year. And we expect another record year in 2018, partly because we will be launching new equipment and major updates to our existing machines,” continued Mr Gasich.
Mr Gasich said the company is targeting continued growth in all markets in 2018 and expects to increase its exports by 60 percent.
