API and COORD3 Partners For Industrial 3D Metrology Solutions

Automated Precision Europe GmbH (API) has further improved their distribution channels by entering a new partnership in Italy for its Radian Laser Tracker system products and accessories. In addition to their long-time partner Microservice S.r.l., API Radian products will now also be sold by COORD3 in Italy with immediate effect. COORD3, with its expertise in 3D coordinate measuring technology, provides ideal conditions for successful consulting and support of interested parties and customers.

Fulvio Valenziano, Regional Manager at COORD3, summarises the basis of the cooperation: “Best in class technology from the inventor of laser tracking, now through COORD3, is brought even closer to the Italian customer base.”

“Combining the measurement system know-how of COORD3 with API’s innovative product portfolio complements each other perfectly. Creaform Names New Vice President Of Operations

Creaform has appointed Daniel Rivard as its Vice President of Operations. Working from the company’s Lévis headquarters, Mr. Rivard will be responsible for managing and coordinating all manufacturing operations for Creaform’s Innovation & Technology Division.

Mr. Rivard comes to Creaform from the medical and pharmaceutical solutions industry and brings a wealth of managerial and operational experience to his role as Vice President of Operations. Past positions include General Manager of Steris, Vice President of Operations and Development for TSO3 and Orthofab, and Technical Services Manager for GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals. He also has experience as a production manager and quality manager for the construction and recreational vehicle industries.

“Having spent the last 20 years working with companies that develop cutting‑edge applications for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, I know what it takes, in terms of rigour and quality, to satisfy the customers coming to Creaform for 3D measurement solutions,” said Mr. Rivard. “It’s always exciting to work for a company that’s driving the development of an advanced technology.”

As Creaform’s Vice President of Operations, Mr. Rivard will look for ways to shorten delivery times and keep the company agile in response to evolving client needs, all while maintaining the Creaform’s world‑class standards for quality and reliability. His predecessor in the role, Fanny Truchon, was promoted earlier this year to President and Business Unit Manager for Creaform.

Mr. Rivard holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in business administration and is a certified member of board directors (ASC – Université Laval).
